‘Because the best things in life come as surprises’ and this was what love was for Amritha and Pranav. Not once did they think that they would find true love on a dating app but here they were, planning their wedding.
“Aisle ads were bombarding my Instagram”, and there started a journey that neither Amritha nor Pranav thought to be going through. Even with a few Matches, Pranav’s Invite not only intrigued Amritha but made her like his profile more than any other. Conversing with Pranav only made her realize how alike they both were and how they were already on a path to building a beautiful friendship. Even with the little bit of conversation that had taken place between them over text, Amritha recounts “He remembered even the smallest of details after our first talk, he was cute.”
Having never been on a blind date before, Amritha had little to no expectations on how meeting with Pranav would go. But it is quite certain now, how clueless she was, that she was about to meet the person she was going to spend the rest of her life with. With just a few ice breakers, they were both quickly acquainted with each other. They both soon discovered so many more things that brought them together. The similarities between their families, their likes, and the future each of them had dreamt of. It came as no surprise when they realized that there existed nothing but comfort between them. Spending long hours talking to each other, spending almost every day with each other, seemed too less.
As destiny would have it, Pranav had made up his mind, and he couldn’t wait any longer. Knowing that they both shared a deep passion for aircrafts, it was no surprise to Amritha when he had taken her near a landing strip for her birthday. What did come as a surprise was when he took out a locket and proposed, and without even a second thought, filled with so many emotions and unbelief, “YES” was all that Amritha was able to utter with utmost certainty that this is meant to be. “After almost two years, not once have I taken off the locket”, added Amritha.
Though the lockdown brought worries, both of them knew that this was worth waiting for. Coming from similar backgrounds helped tremendously when the two spoke about each other to their families. It allowed things to go smooth sailing. Pranav took no shortcuts and made sure that everything was in place.
With the wedding date set to be on the 31st of October 2021, her friends started to tease the couple about getting married on Halloween. As cheeky as she is, she responds with an even cheekier line, “He’ll be getting married to a witch on Halloween”.
“Dating or being in a relationship with someone should come from being genuine and not peer pressure, it should be built on trust and respect, that is what allowed both me and Pranav to be comfortable around each other. We knew we would never accept anything less”, added Amritha.
